Plan your dream proposal in a beautiful setting, right in the heart of York city centre with our Proposal Packages.
York Museum Gardens is not only an idyllic haven with an array of plant species, wildlife, and historical features to explore, but also the perfect backdrop for you to ask the special question… “Will you marry me?”
We’ve hand-curated two perfect packages for you to choose from to help you plan how to pop the big question.
Early Morning Package – from £540
- Private entry to the Gardens before 9am, you’ll have the place to yourselves.
- Picnic blanket in a location special to you for 1 hour (popular locations include St Mary’s Abbey ruins, the Hospitium lawn and the Edible Wood)
- Breakfast basket including tea or coffee
- A beautiful bouquet of seasonal flowers
Daytime Package – from £300
- Bookable during York Museum Garden’s open hours (9am – 6pm)
- Picnic blanket in a location special to you for 1 hour (popular locations include St Mary’s Abbey ruins, the Hospitium lawn and the main lawn, outside the Yorkshire Museum)
- Champagne and glasses for two (from 11am)
- A beautiful bouquet of seasonal flowers
Couples that book one of our Proposal Packages will be offered the opportunity to have the cost deducted from the Hospitium wedding venue hire fee, if they choose to continue their wedding journey with us.
