June 2024 News!

June has been a wonderful month already at York Venues! We have seen many exciting events in our historic venues within the city centre of York, from lectures to retirement parties… and we are only halfway through the month so far!

Our Hospitium venue is such a versatile events space in York, based right in the middle of the York Museum Gardens. With two very different floors to use, we can offer seamless event hosting – from conferences and workshops to weddings and parties.

Last weekend was so very busy - we saw a conference on Anglo Saxon history, to a wonderful wedding on the Saturday, right through to a celebration following a Christening. We love being able to share this historic space with our guests, neighbours and local community. The sense of history is so very special and it is a privilege to be a part of its preservation.

We are looking forward to hosting an open afternoon next Wednesday in our Hospitium venue. This event will welcome local businesses along, whether they are new acquaintances or long time business connections. They will have the opportunity to tour the Hospitium venue again, previewing our AV installation from January 2024. We are proud to offer some amazing tech in this historic venue – from Clickshare Projection to Livestream facilities. Our visitors can sample some great tasting options from Bradshaws of York, our long time dedicated catering team. The delegates will be able to move over to the Yorkshire Museum and visit the historic Tempest Anderson Hall – once home to lectures and previous site of City Screen, now able to hire for private cinema nights and available for all kinds of learning events. Curators will give our visitors the unique opportunity to handle some ancient objects from our Yorkshire Museum collection. Before guests leave, the delicious Dough Disciples will be serving wood fired pizza to round off the afternoon.
